Our goal this year is to plant a million trees around the world. That’s less than one tree for each member. If we can accomplish this goal, it proves once again that we can accomplish anything – just like we did when we exceeded our goal for Campaign SightFirst II. Just like we did when we prevented over 1 million cases of river blindness.
The Lions Environmental Photo Contest provides a way for Lions to portray, through an original photo, their pride and commitment to improving, protecting and preserving their environment.
Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This art contest for kids encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace.
The used eyeglasses collected in your community can help children and adults in developing countries enjoy a better quality of life. Many will experience corrected vision for the first time.

The theme of the 2011-12 Peace Poster Contest is "Children Know Peace." Students, ages 11, 12 or 13 on November 15, are eligible to participate.
