DISTRICT I - 40TH SPRING CONFERENCE
April 16 - 18, Courtenay, BC Canada

The guest speaker for the District I’s 40th Spring Conference is none other than Past International President Brian Stevenson. PIP Lion Brian is a founding member of The Lions Foundation of Canada. Judge Stevenson of Calgary, Alberta was elected to serve as President in 1978 at the Lions 70th International Convention.

A Lion since 1966 and currently a member of the Calgary (Northeast Eyeopener) Lions Club, Past President Stevenson has held numerous offices in the association. These include terms as district governor, a member of the association's board of directors from 1977-79 and as a presidential appointee to the international board from 1979-81 and again from 1998-1999.

The conference committee is excited to tell you of our very special guests for the Friday Night Fun Night. As many of you know the Canadian Forces Exhibition Team, more commonly known as The Snowbirds, practice in the Comox Valley for 2 weeks every Spring. The pilots and crew members will be attending the fun night from 7PM to 8PM ( they leave the next morning ) and will be available to meet. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with them !! We have also arranged for some other surprises during the weekend. And be sure to dress up for the Rock 'n Roll theme on Friday Night. There will be prizes for the best "outfit" and of course, we will have a King and Queen of the dance.

The training crew have arranged for some excellent training panels for the Saturday which you will not want to miss. And what an opportunity to have Judge Brian present the Brian Stevenson awards in person....we are planning those presentations for the Saturday afternoon session.

REGISTRATION FORM

Registrants can pick up your registration package at the Coast Westerly Hotel from Noon to 5PM on Friday the 16th. The registration desk will then move to the Filberg from 6PM on Friday and on Saturday morning.
You must present your ticket for all the events. Your tickets will be in the back of your name badge holder. Please check your tickets when you pick up your registration to make sure they are correct.
We will have passenger vans available between the hotels and the Filberg so you do not need to worry about driving.
And be sure to sign up for the training sessions on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon.

The conference committee looks forward to seeing you in the Comox Valley April 16th to 18th.
