The Lions International Theme
for 2009 ~ 2010 is:
MOVE TO GROW!

Districts are encouraged to take action to grow in humanitarian service, leader development, club membership, international social understanding, ... We should do the following:
  • Achieve growth in social understanding – through the promotion of Lions exchange programs.
  • Make an effort to meet the needs of our Association by empowering our members.
  • Identify potential leaders in our districts and move to encourage them to actively participate in LCI’s programs.
  • Move to grow membership. Membership is the key to our success – members are our most valuable asset and resource.
  • Maintain our momentum in providing service.
  • Share our best practices around the world.
For more info visit LCI website.

Part of Multiple District 19, District 19-I encompasses Vancouver Island BC and Olympic Peninsula WA. The district includes 8 Zones, 52 Lions and 6 Lioness Clubs and approximately 1400 members. (See map below.)

Lions Clubs are involved in community, national and worldwide projects focusing on preventable blindness, effective environmental management, disaster relief, and by simply helping those in need.

Becoming involved as a Lion means joining the largest service organization in the world! Remember that by volunteering precious time, you receive much more than you give.
